People must respect other people in using media. Importantly if it is about democracy because it affects the overall outcome of elections. There are people who gossip and tell bad things about the candidates on social media and it affects the image of the candidates themselves. It may be that the candidates really have a bad reputation but it is still immoral to gossip about them. Sometimes, the people who needs good manners and right conduct are the candidates themselves.
The issue about good manners and right conduct in democracy on social media channels needs a solution. In my opinion, people must be reminded that it is bad to make other people look bad. Even in competencies, no one must post false information or information that will destroy the candidate’s chance for being elected. I think a solution is to make the subject of good manners and right conduct be applicable for all ages. It can be by person or online.
